Growing up in Bombay, while in high school, he realized he wanted to be a physician – the first in his family. He credits his focus and perseverance to his mother. He was the best outgoing graduate fo his medical school. He subsequently trained and graduated as a Chief Resident at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He was a faculty member at New York Medical College and Brookdale Hospital and received several teaching awards, including best teacher of the year, for his contribution to graduate education.
At the same time, he co-founded a multi-physician primary care practice, worked as a hospitalist and co-founded a software company called Sowsia, only the second Hospital EHR company to get CCHIT certified. He was also the Director of Financial and Clinical Operations at Brookdale Hospital from 2005-2013.
He joined Statcare and credits his wife, Priti for being his mentor in emergency care. He feels his life’s calling is to innovate the experience of healthcare by customers. His expertise is in Nutrition, Obesity, Hypertension and Diabetes.
Dr. Jain is a polyglot, a speed reader and loves nature and adventure travel. He pursues writing and translating poetry from other languages. His reading interests are Evolutionary Biology, World History & Philosophy.
