Thanks to the new VA MISSION Act, veterans are now able to seek health care through authorized urgent care clinics within their community. This important Act for veterans provides them with a helpful opportunity to receive their non-emergency medical care in a fast and convenient environment, with no need for pre-authorization.
The MISSION Act finally allows veterans to receive the medical care that they deserve when and where they need it. This is a great step forward in veteran care and allows veterans access to fast, caring, and responsive medical evaluation and treatment.

Statcare is a family-owned walk-in clinic that provides fast medical care for veterans without the long process of waiting for an appointment. This Veteran’s Urgent Care in New York is available 365 days a year with five convenient locations in Long Island, Queens, Bronx, and Brooklyn.

Veterans Urgent Care Services
We provide evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening illnesses as well as minor injuries. Visit us for colds, the flu, sore throat, bronchitis, sinus infections, urinary tract infections, ear problems, allergies, as well as injuries such as trauma and fractures.

No. When you arrive at the clinic, let the receptionist know that you’d like to use your VA urgent care benefit. The receptionist will ask your home VA Medical Center (VAMC), home address, date of birth and last 4 digits of your SSN. The receptionist will then make a call to check your eligibility.
Veterans may be charged a copayment for urgent care that is different from other VA medical copayments. Copayments depend on the Veteran’s assigned priority group and the number of times an urgent care provider is visited in a calendar year. A copayment is not required for a visit consisting of only a flu shot.
Copayment charges are billed separately by VA as part of VA’s billing process. There is no limit to the number of times a Veteran can go to an urgent care provider.
You will not be charged at the urgent care center.
VA will pay for or fill prescriptions for urgent care. For urgent care prescription medication longer than a 14-day supply, the prescription must be submitted to VA to be filled.
For urgent prescriptions written by an urgent care provider, Veterans can fill a 14-day supply of medication at a contracted pharmacy within the VA network, in VA, or at a non contracted pharmacy. If a non contracted pharmacy is used, Veterans must pay for the prescription and then file a claim for reimbursement with the local VA medical facility.
Some Veterans may be required to make a copayment for medication.
Only eligible Veterans can use this benefit. The benefit does not extend to family members and is non-transferrable.
