If you need a follow-up appointment with an orthopedic surgeon or an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand surgery, we can get you seen the next business day. If you need an MRI, we can get that arranged for you as well. All our X-Rays are read by a Radiologist. If you need the X-Ray images on a CD, we can give that to you as well so your orthopedic surgeon can review it in his office.

What are X-Rays?
X-Ray is a form of electromagnetic radiation. X-Ray or

X-radiation is also called Röntgen radiation, after Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, who discovered it and named it X-radiation since it was an unknown type of radiation.

The digital era has facilitated the creation of new technology called digital radiography. Digital X-Ray involves using digital X-Ray sensors instead of traditional photographic film. Always choose digital X-ray over traditional film technique because -

You can view the images almost within a couple of minutes
The radiation is 90% less than regular X-Ray machines

The images can be digitally enhanced for better viewing such as changing the contrast to differentiate tissues from adjacent structures. This is important in orthopedic problems.
The images can be adjusted and zoomed in so smaller orthopedic problems are not missed or overlooked
More accurate and efficient diagnosis can be made with digital X-Ray. The images can be stored on a CD.
At Statcare Urgent Care, all the X-Ray images are viewed by the provider and read. Then they are digitally transmitted over a secure network to a Radiologist for confirmatory reading. If you need, we can burn the images on a CD for you as well.
